Ready Steady Food is a project to support young people and families during the cost of living crisis with food education, meal prep, cooking workshops and improved access to food.
Young people aged from 8 to 18 can learn cooking skills that will help them have a healthy lifestyle, as well as skills useful for future employment opportunities.
Cooking has many benefits such as: building confidence, enhancing independent skills, gaining knowledge of healthier foods and recipes that they can take home to their families and many more. They also experience team work and the collaboration necessary when cooking in a group.
Sessions and workshops are being run during school holidays and at weekends when food support is required even more as well as 4-6 week cooking courses. Check back or contact us for more details about up coming programmes.
