About The Hub Centre

The Hub Centre is a multi-use community space in the heart of rural Taunton Deane, easily accessible from Wellington, Taunton and West Somerset. The centre is based on the local secondary school site in Wiveliscombe and hosts some superb facilities. It is ideally situated within easy walking distance from many car parks. There is limited parking next to the centre for vehicles so you can easily load/unload. The Hub Centre has two main rooms which can be hired by groups or individuals for up to 50 people. The venue is fully accessible for less-abled users with wheelchair accessible ramps and doors and an accessible toilet.

Our Hub Centre provides a safe and welcoming environment to socialise with peers and other individuals, to plan volunteering, social action and community projects, engage in leadership and self-improvement programmes and access platforms to support GCSE coursework and learning schemes. Young people can access a number of support organisations from this facility in a youth work led environment.

Previously the home of the Youth Café “Café Random”, the space has been used for delivering youth work for the past 20 years. Utilised for use by both young people and the community, the venue hosts the local community radio station, “10 Radio”, health clinics, and the local groups on occasions as well as providing a great meeting place for group work and 1-2-1 sessions. Other programmes that are delivered from The Hub Centre through partnerships and other agencies include training programmes, play schemes, health and hygiene courses, 1-2-1 work, community enhancement sessions and therapy sessions.
